Brand Design:
All Forge       Workplace: DEEP       Sector: Engineering & Technology

ALL FORGE

All Forge leverages WAAM (Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing) technology to rapidly produce metallic components and prototypes for its partners and customers. At its core, this innovative system operates as a robotic welding arm. The brand’s icon deconstructs one of these welding arms into its fundamental geometric shapes, creating a minimalist and recognisable design.

This visual element not only reinforces the company’s identity but also symbolises a closed circuit or loop, reflecting All Forge’s robust and continuous production capabilities. This, coupled with the brand’s tone of voice shown within its copy writing, underscores the company’s dedication to rapid prototyping serving as a turn-key solution for its clients.

And the green? Green means go.

Brand Design: DEEP Institute       Workplace: DEEP       Sector: Education & Training

DEEP : INSTITUTE

Establishing a new academic body for the world of Subsea Operators

DEEP’s mission, to “Make Humans Aquatic,” is nothing short of ambitious. The goal is to establish a permanent human presence subsea through innovative habitation solutions, enabling exploration of the 95% of the ocean floor that remains undiscovered.

Alongside its innovative range of habitats, DEEP is dedicated to advancing the training and certification of Divers and Submersible Pilots—a critical need in an industry where no formal pathway currently exists. At present, aspiring submersible pilots must rely on informal networks, finding someone with a submersible and a willing pilot to teach them. DEEP Institute (internally known as DI) aims to bridge this gap, opening up access to the world of subsea operations and fostering a new generation of certified professionals.

At the heart of the DEEP Institute brand is the Pillar. The Pillar is a timeless symbol of structure, resilience, and the wisdom of the ages. Found in ancient ruins and archaeological sites around the globe, it represents knowledge preserved through history and lessons that endure. For centuries, pillars have been a defining feature of temples, universities, and institutional architecture, signifying longevity and steadfastness.

Brand Photography: DEEP       Sector: Engineering, Manufacturing & Maritime

DEEP BRAND PHOTOGRAPHY

I was hired by DEEP not only because of my finesse with designing and championing brands, but also because of my skill with a camera. DEEP’s branding is primarily monochromatic, with only splashes of their accent colour (this sparse application was often referred to as the 1% rule). Due to this, imagery is fundamental to DEEP’s brand. Part of my role was to align the brand’s photographic styling with our inhouse videographer to achieve a cinematic look.

This mood board captures the essence of DEEP's brand, distilling its tone, look, and feel. At its heart, DEEP’s ethos and aesthetic are defined by a single word: Wonder.

Brand Design: Claymore       Workplace: DEEP       Sector: Finance

CLAYMORE

A financial firm deeply rooted in its proud Scottish heritage, seamlessly blending tradition with innovation to deliver modern, forward-thinking solutions that meet the evolving needs of its customers.

A claymore is a type of broad sword used by Highland warriors in the 15th Century, it is loaded with cultural significance to people with Scottish heritage. Other elements of this culture include woven patterns referred to as knots, some of which were believed to carry runic qualities.

I selected the Celtic Shield Knot, which was largely used to symbolise protection. Its compact design hints at an unbreakable barrier, with a single interwoven thread suggesting endless protection.

The endlessness of the design also symbolised rebirth and eternity, hinting at the never-ending cycle of birth, life, death, and rebirth. Celts hung symbols such as these in their homes as a form of protection against bad luck and evil.

At Longbow, hospitality is more than a service. It is a craft. Every chef, staff member and experience designer plays a part in creating an atmosphere of trust, comfort and luxury. Their brand values reflect as much: Impeccable, Rare, Thoughtful, Undeniable and Paradisiacal.
